You can stream the 2026 US Open on Kodi using the ESPN, Disney+, and Stan addons. This tournament will run from August 24 until September 13, with sessions typically at 11:00 and 19:00 EST. If you’d like to stream the event live, you’re in the right place. I’ll explain how to watch the 2026 US Open tennis on Kodi, how much it’ll cost, and more.
I don’t recommend using add-ons that rely on unlicensed sources. Official streams are higher-quality, fully legal, and won’t be taken down for copyright violation. Just note that if you’re traveling abroad, you’ll need a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access geo-blocked addons.
How to live stream the 2026 US Open on Kodi
The US Open will air in dozens of countries, and some official broadcasters even have their own Kodi addons. This makes it easy to stream all of the action through your home media center. I recommend testing everything ahead of time so you don’t miss out due to last-minute technical trouble.
Follow the steps below to watch the 2026 US Open on Kodi:
- Install a reputable VPN. I recommend IPVanish but NordVPN, Surfshark, and ExpressVPN are strong choices too.
- Connect to a server in your home country. This will allow you to access streaming services from back home, even if you’re traveling abroad.
- Download the SlyGuy Kodi repository from its creator’s GitHub page. In Kodi, click Add-ons, hit the box icon, and choose Install from zip file, then navigate to your downloads folder. Select this repo and it should install automatically.

- Install one of the Kodi addons mentioned below. These addons use official sources, meaning they’re completely legal.
- Log into the addon. Some of the addons below won’t work without a subscription to a particular streaming service. Open the addon’s settings and enter your login credentials.

- Start streaming. You should now be able to watch live TV directly through Kodi. If not, make sure your installation is up-to-date and your login details are correct.
How to watch the US Open tennis tournament live on Kodi
It’s remarkably easy to watch the US Open on Kodi. However, this tournament will only air on geo-restricted streaming services, so the Kodi addon you’ll use depends on your location. I’ll walk you through all of the ways to watch (and how much they cost) below.
In the USA? Watch on ESPN
ESPN has exclusive broadcasting rights to the US Open. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to access these channels through Kodi, such as the SlyGuy’s repository ESPN addon. You can log in either with your cable provider’s details or via an ESPN Unlimited account (currently $29.99 per month).
Bear in mind that ESPN is only showing this tournament in the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean. If you’re outside of these locations, you can regain access to your local ESPN catalog using a VPN.
Australia: 9Now and Stan
A handful of US Open tennis matches will be shown for free on Australia’s Channel 9. If you spend a minute creating an account on the 9Now website, you can stream these fixtures live on Kodi. All you have to do is install the 9Now addon from the SlyGuy repository.
If you’d like to watch the entire tournament, you’ll need a Stan Sport subscription. Frustratingly, this is a paid extra, not a standalone subscription plan. As such, you’ll pay at least $32 per month, and up to $43.99 monthly if you’re a Premium customer. Once registered, just install the Stan Kodi addon from the SlyGuy repository and start streaming.
Both of these addons are region-locked. If you’re traveling outside of Australia, you can unblock them by connecting to one of your VPN’s Australian servers.
New Zealand: Stream the US Open on Disney+
Just like last year’s event, the 2026 US Open will be shown on Disney+ in New Zealand. Plans start at $9.99 monthly and although this includes sporting events, I’d suggest upgrading to an ad-free subscription. While more expensive ($18.99), it’ll ensure you won’t miss anything of the action. Once you’re signed up, just install the Disney+ addon from the SlyGuy repo and log in.
Disney+ is available in most countries but will only show the US Open in New Zealand. To watch during a trip abroad, you’ll have to use a VPN.
Add-ons to avoid
You may have heard about addons like The Crew, The Loop, Umbrella, or Dream Machine. Unlike the addons above which use official sources, these scrape content from third-party sites. In other words, they’re not legal to use.
There are other problems too. For starters, the moment piracy addons start becoming popular, it’s only a matter of time until it’s shut down. Don’t believe me? This is exactly what happened to Exodus, Neptune Rising, SALTS, Phoenix, Ccloud, and many more. For the best experience (and the long-term health of Kodi), it’s best to stick to official addons.
Wrapping up
While not as popular as it once was, Kodi remains viable thanks to the hard work of dedicated addon developers. The US Open promises three weeks of world-class tennis and you can stream all of it via Kodi. All you have to do is install the appropriate addon, sign in, and start watching. Will Sabalenka make history with a third consecutive win? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
